ICCC Video Portfolio

The video portfolio contains over 80 individual videos (approximately 4 hours in length)  filmed on location at Australian Early Child Care Services. They capture quality interactions between staff and children, and provide valuable insights from experienced Educators and Early Childhood Professionals about their daily routines and experiences. Each video has a supporting trainer guide whic provides:

  • key learning summaries
  • additional notes and/or readings to extend learning
  • suggested activities and/or discussion topics for AQF level III and AQF level 5 students
  • mapping against the ECEC competencies, the EYLF and the NQS.

    • The videos are only available with our on-line learning platform. This product is available exclusively through our e-tech partner Circulus Education.

    Kitchen Play II - In this video we observe three children (Oakley, Lars and Kadence) who are in the dramatic play kitchen with the educator Brooke. Notice that the play of the children changes as one child takes on the role of caring for the horse while the other two children continue with cooking.

    Finger Play 0-2 Year Old

    In this video, an early childhood educator engages children in a finger play of Five Cheeky Monkeys prior to afternoon tea. Children aged 0-2yrs are seated around a table and in high-chairs and facing the educator who is singing using a puppet.     In this video we see educator Kate engaging in a delightful one-to-one interaction with baby Ryan. Kate uses animated facial gestures and a gentle conversational tone of voice to engage with Ryan.
