Smart and Skilled is a NSW Government reform introduced on the 1 January 2015. It can help you get the skills you need to find a job and advance your career through government-subsidised training.
International Child Care College can provide eligible individuals the opportunity to complete a nationally recognised qualification under the Smart and Skilled program.
‘This training is subsidised by the NSW Government’
From 1 January 2015, Smart and Skilled provides eligible students with:
- an entitlement to government-subsidised training up to and including Certificate III
- government funding for higher-level courses (Certificate IV and above) in targeted priority areas

Smart and Skilled introduces new fee arrangements
From 2015, Smart and Skilled introduces new prices and fee arrangements for government-subsidised courses. The NSW Government contributes to the cost of each course and the student pays the balance. Fees are for the whole course, rather than year-by-year. Your choice of training provider does not affect the fee you pay for any course. Fee exemptions and concessions are also available for disadvantaged learners.
