BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management

Specialised Training for Early Childhood Professionals

Developing leadership qualities in Early Childhood settings can be extremely challenging. There are a broad range of stakeholders’ interests to constantly manage including staff, parents, and other community participants whilst juggling the daily operations of the service. ICCC’s Diploma of Leadership and Management course is tailored specifically for Early Childhood Educators looking to equip themselves with the skills and knowledge required to excel as a Manager or Director of an Early Childhood service.

To support the ongoing professional development of staff, this course has been written and customised to reflect these challenges and support the development and implementation of leadership roles specifically within an Early Childhood Education and Care setting. It is unique in that assessment and learning directly relate to National Quality Standards, the Educational Leader role and the implementation of Service Quality Improvement Plans.

  • A learning emphasis on reflection and continuous improvement of skills and knowledge;

  • Assessments that directly relate to quality improvements in the service.

Who is this Course for?

  • Educational Leaders
  • Senior Educators who want to continue personal learning and development.

“Completing the Diploma of Leadership and Management course gave me such great insight into the improvements I could make in my own leadership style and the ways in which I could support others in my role. I learnt so much and was really able to reflect on my own experiences and set professional goals as a result. The Unit on Emotional Intelligence was invaluable.

I would recommend the course to anyone aspiring to hold any leadership role in Early Childhood. Whether you are a Centre Director, 2IC or Room Leader, or simply someone who wants to extend their professional understanding of how you can support and lead your team, this course is for you.”

– Kirsty Newbury, ICCC Graduate
