To support current industry requirements and best practice philosophy for Early Childhood professionals, ICCC offers partial qualification enrolment into individual units of competency from Nationally Recognised training. This Child Protection Short Course equips learners with knowledge of procedures and best practices when dealing with child protection in an Early Childhood setting.

Course Outline

One of the most important jobs we have at the service is to help keep our children safe. This unit focuses on child protection and developing strategies that you can use in an early childhood setting in your role as a mandatory reporter. You will learn about what to look for and how to report concerns about children.

 

This Nationally recognised training program is available as an online course.

Support for Employers

Professional development and paid practicum government subsidies are available to help employers support Early Childhood Educators, Teachers and Managers to undertake professional development for up to two days and minimise the financial effect where backfilling these positions is required.
