Course Description:
Training with ICCC will ensure student learning focuses on the extensive development of skills and knowledge in pedagogical practices, service management and leadership, and prepares graduates to become future leaders, supervisors and managers of children’s services.
The course builds on existing skills and knowledge to continue the learning journey of an educator, including:
✓ intentional teaching
✓ scaffolding play
✓ using the environment as the 3rd teacher
✓ managing compliance in service operations
✓ leading and managing others
✓ reflection and ongoing professional practice
Assessment is ongoing throughout the training period – there are no final exams. Assessment includes:
✓ Knowledge assessment (Theory tasks)
✓ Skills assessment (Workplace tasks)
✓ Observation assessment (Observable tasks)
