Assessment is ongoing throughout the training period – there are no final exams.

Trainee

 

Study mode: Online + Workplace training
Duration: 24 months full-time, 36 months part-time

Conditions of Enrolment

  • Students must be a minimum age of 16 to be eligible for enrolment;
  • Students must be employed in a regulated Early Childhood Education and Care service as a New Entrant Trainee;
  • Students must have completed CHC30121 or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

 

Fees: $0 to $11,700 – Fee Free for eligible NSW New Entrant Traineeships with training starting between 1/1/2020 – 30/6/2025

NSW learners may be eligible for subsidies under NSW Smart and Skilled Entitlement training programs.

Independent Learner

 

Study mode: Online + Workplace training
Duration: 24 months full-time, 36 months part-time

Conditions of Enrolment

  • Students must be a minimum age of 16 to be eligible for enrolment;
  • Students must be able to complete a minimum of 280 hours of work placement;
  • Students must have completed CHC30121 or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

 

Fees: $0 to $11,700 – Fee Free for Eligible Learners under NSW Fee Free^ for training starting prior to 31/12/2024.

  • Minimum age restrictions apply;
  • Minimum numeracy and literacy skills apply;
  • Students need to be physically fit as the role involves providing direct personal care, lifting and other physically demanding activities;
  • A Working with Children Check is required to participate in this course.

 

Learners will need access to the internet and a computer with the following specifications:

  • Microsoft Office 2003 or equivalent
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 or Mac OS X
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Access to a printer
